Phil is a recently retired Anglican minister living in Manchester. He teaches Masters courses and supervises doctorates, and helps local churches to relate to their Muslim neighbours. He is interested in the engagement between Christians and Muslims - that Christians can confidently share their faith in Jesus, while listening and seeking to understand Muslim friends and neighbours.
He continues to lead a number of dialogue groups which allow Christians and Muslim to share together, and disagree while remaining friends. More recently he has become involved in the discipleship of Muslims who have come to Christ, as is happening around the world.
He is married to Maxine and they have four grown-up children. Frequently he can be seen at Salford City stadium supporting Sale Sharks Rugby team.
